High heart rate

That must have been a very scary dream. Try this:
  1. Breathe deeply. It will help you relax until your palpitations pass.
  2. Splash your face with cold water. It stimulates a nerve that controls your heart rate.

This is a regular occurrence with me unfortunately. It is so uncomfortable to start your day like this. As stated above, try to control your breathing.

You need to exhale for longer than you inhale. In for 4 seconds and our for 6. Inale deeply, right in to your belly. Is 4 and 6 seems too long or short, you can do 2 and 4 ot 6 and 8 instead. This helps to calm your anxiety by relaxing your central nervous system. It's amazing how well this works when you master it.

I agree with Foxy and Lee on the breathing. Must be scary :(
I hope that you're okay.
Not to derail the thread, but I used to wear a Fitbit watch. I got obsessed with checking my heart rate on it. One morning I woke up and my heart in the night had risen to as much as 180bpm. I took it off and have never put it back on since 😂😂

Not good 180. Deep breathing is good I use the 4 7 8 Breath in at the count of 4 ..hold your breath for the count of 7 and then exhale like you are blowing out a candle for the count of 8. If that happens again I would go to the ER. I wear a Fitbit too and it tells me how I sleep and lots of things. I am checking it too all the time. LOL
