Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter
3/4 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 tea. vanilla
1 cup mashed ripe bananas2 Cups flous
1/4 tea. salt
1 tea. baking soda
6 ounces chocolate chips

In a bowl cream butter with sugar. Beat in eggs, then
vanilla and the mashed bananas. In another bowl, stir
together flour, salt and baking soda. Beat into banana
mixture, then stir in chocolate chips. Turn batter into
a greased and floured 9"x5" loaf pan. Bake in a
pre-heated 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until it tests
done with a toothpick (you may get some melted chocolate
back on a toothpick or cake tester even when it is
done - (1 hour is usually about right). Place on rack
to cool completely before cuttting.
